History
It was the 1930s when Vangélio Mondelli started his cattle and offal business in Bauru, followed by a sausage factory. Over time he began slaughtering in the municipal slaughterhouse and processing in natura meat in his own facilities.
In 1978 Slaughterhouse Vangélio Mondelli Ltda. was inaugurated, receiving the SIF (Federal Inspection Service) number 1758. Its modern and functional facilities contributed to the achievement of a prime position in the industry, especially in the domestic market.
Industrial production prospered considerably which permitted, after 1986, the expansion into foreign markets, providing top quality meat cuts.
In 1993, Slaughterhouse Mondelli inaugurated the sausage division, especially the line of Prima Linea prontsteaks and hamburgers, offering products with higher added value and increasing its market share.
When investing in new technologies to ensure a high-quality product and meet consumer expectations, Mondelli is among the largest and most respectable slaughterhouses in Brazil, being one of the major exporters in the segment.
Through a culture based on social responsibility and environmental preservation, Slaughterhouse Mondelli develops the following projects:
“Special Mondelli” - employing people with disabilities in partnership with SORRI and APAE Bauru;
“Soccer for Children” - soccer lessons, three times a week, for children in the neighborhood in which the company is located, as well as sponsoring championships;
“Festa Junina” (Santo Antonio) - Party on the Mondelli’s family farm for abandoned children of Paiva Institution;
